Michael J. Carpenter
Michael Carpenter currently serves as Senior Vice President for Public Sector at McAfee. In this capacity, he is responsible for nurturing and growing the company’s business across the federal and state and local sectors. Michael is committed to keeping McAfee’s federal business the fastest growing sector in the company by delivering solutions that strengthen the IT security of the government‘s mission critical networks as well as by building strong partnerships with the company’s integrator partners. His top priority is working closely with his government customers and integrator partners as a trusted advisor and advocate for security solutions. Michael has extensive sales management experience and has achieved outstanding results throughout his career. Since joining McAfee, he has consistently been a top performer, exceeding company expectations. As Eastern Regional Director of McAfee’s Government, Health and Education business, he was able to grow sales by more than 70% over a two year period. As Western Regional Director of McAfee’s commercial business, he exceeded his sales quota by 11%. He credits this success to his vigilant focus on customer service and follow-through, and outstanding technology solutions. Prior to joining McAfee, Michael founded two companies - the Praetorian Group and Consumers Connection. Michael earned a BSBA in accounting from the University of Massachusetts.
