Just in time to make reservations for Mother’s Day, Open Table has named its list of the top 100 best brunches in America. Luckily for Washingtonians, nine area restaurants top the list.

Scattered from Capitol Hill to Potomac, Md., the notable dining rooms for the best in weekend leisure eating include:

Belga Cafe

The Front Page

Greenhouse at The Jefferson Hotel

Level One

Nellie’s Sports Bar

Seasons  at Four Seasons Hotel

Ted’s Bulletin Capitol Hill

Ted’s Bulletin 14th Street

Mrs. K’s Toll House – Silver Spring, Md.

Normandie Farm – Potomac, Md.

“This year’s winning restaurants have recognized that brunch has become a national pastime for diners across America,” said Caroline Potter, OpenTable chief dining officer. “With delightful, handcrafted cocktails and fresh and flavorful dishes that range from comfortingly familiar to deliciously adventurous, the best brunch restaurants have created the ideal meal at which to celebrate the weekend, as well as special occasions.”

More than 5 million reviews from 19,000 diners were considered when compiling the list. Only California and New York rated more mentions on the Top 100 than Washington.
