According to Amazon.com, Alexandria is still for lovers.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, the world’s largest online retailer took stock of chivalrous buyers from across the U.S. to release its annual rundown of romantic hot spots. The D.C. suburb fell from the No. 2 spot it held last year, but holds tight among amorous addresses at No. 5.

Amazon rates cities based on the sales data of passionate products like romance novels and relationship books, romantic comedy DVDs, sultry music and… adult products shipped only in unmarked, brown packages.

The most romantic state? Washington. Not only can it claim this year’s Super Bowl champs, but the Evergreen State charts four cities in the list’s Top 20, more than any other state in the country.
