Dr. Will Roper

Will Roper brings deep academic experience, both as a Ph.D. in mathematics from Oxford University and work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was the founding leader of the Pentagon’s Strategic Capabilities Office, focusing on game-changing technology for national security. As the leader of one of the most technical branches of the military, he has been at the center of emerging systems like the Advanced Battle Management System, Joint All Domain Command and Control and helping to guide the service’s transformation into a “digital Air Force.” Roper also stepped up to help execute the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic and the use of the Defense Production Act. In his role, he has helped to support the defense industrial base and to speed up the production of life-saving medical equipment.
