As the Congress wraps up business before August recess, members will stop to Paws for Celebration today.

The annual ASPCA animal adoption event, a pet project of the House Animal Protection Caucus, returns to Capitol Hill this afternoon.

Dogs and cats from animals shelters in D.C, Maryland and Virginia will roam the Cannon Caucus Room in hopes of charming a new owner. Paws for Celebration has been such a successful matchmaking event that it returns twice yearly to the Hill. Furry friends will be lobbying for new homes from noon until 2:30 this afternoon.
