CSRA has secured a potential $498 million contract to provide commercial infrastructure services to the Defense Department for the milCloud 2.0 on-premise cloud platform, the department said.

CSRA will provide transition services as the DOD rolls out the first phase of milCloud 2.0, which will be contractor-run. The platform will follow a pay-for-services-used model. Its predecessor, milCloud 1.0, was flat-fee based and run by the government.

The three-year base period for the deal began June 9, and the contract includes five one-year option periods.

Five companies submitted proposals for the contract to the Defense Information Systems Agency. The department launched the request for proposals last July.

The minimum guarantee for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is set at $600,000 in fiscal 2017 for the first task order.
