The Department of Homeland Security launched a new website Friday, Study in the States, that encourages “the best and brightest” international students to study in the United States.

The hope is that by encouraging students to study here, it will enhance the nation’s economic, scientific and technological competitiveness.

The website will serve as an interagency information hub for the DHS and its partner agencies to use new, innovative ways to streamline the international student visa process and encourage foreign students to study and remain the U.S, according to the agency.
