These days, everyone and their mother has a smartphone. But do the moms in your life have a natty clutch bag in which to charge a cell?
The Everpurse is a handbag that charges a phone while it is being carried. Still new to the market, these bright, tiny totes will ensure take-charge women never lack battery charge when they need to answer a work email, text directions to a birthday party or snap a photo of the kids.
“Technology should make your life easier, not more complicated, ” says Everpurse creator Liz Salcedo, who brought the idea to life after finding a dead phone in her purse one too many times.
The bags, which start at $189, are compatible with iPhone 5, 4, 4S and Galaxy S III. For $600, the company will even retrofit a purse a woman already owns with the Everpurse technology.
Everpurse is offered in several fun colors and even in a leather crocodile pattern. The wallet-sized bag fits easily into a larger handbag or can be carried fashionably on its own.
The first production of the purses are available now for the tech-savvy women on your Mother’s Day shopping list — though, we think the simple, black fabric bag would work perfectly for men, as well.
