2011_01_gpoThe U.S. Government Printing Office is looking for a Chief Information Officer.

Bring innovation and leadership to the planning and implementation of IT systems and programs in support of high-tech printing and digital information organization.

Manage and provide guidance and oversight of agency-wide IT policies and standards relating to telecommunications and IT systems; develop and maintain operating budgets for network IT system plans and financial guidelines; monitor activities and costs related to overall utilization of information resources required to meet operations requirements; and identify and direct the development of information products, services, technologies and strategies.

Incumbent should possess experience directing development and implementation of multiple, complex IT systems and programs; developing and maintaining operating budgets and leading investment management processes related to IT acquisitions; demonstrated skill and experience in communication to ensure timely, decisive and sound action in implementing programs and policies.

Noncompetitive consideration:  Current career Senior Legislative Service/Senior Executive Service (SES), Qualifications Review Board (QRB) certified graduates of an SES Candidate Development Program and individuals with SES reinstatement eligibility may be considered noncompetitively for appointment to this position if they meet the mandatory Technical Qualification requirements.
