You don’t need a parent who rules Hollywood’s red carpet to snag a spot on Vanity Fair‘s list of best dressed kids; a dad ruling the free world will do.

Sasha and Malia Obama are the only political progeny on the magazine’s roster, which includes budding fashion icons like Suri Cruise and the posh Beckham brood.

Teens and ‘tweens don’t need kid couture to make a stylish statement, either, thanks to the first daughters. The trendsetting sisters often wear affordable brands like H&M and Gap. Vanity Fair credits the girls’ tendency for simple separates and statement jewelry for making J. Crew a national treasure.
