Forbes contributor and harmon.ie Chief Social Strategist Mark Fidelman recognized General Services Administration Chief Information Officer Casey Coleman as a “Top Social CIO” alongside her peers at high-profile companies like Google, Home Depot, BP, SAP and Xerox.

“Coleman would have ranked at the top if she worked within the Fortune 250 and not the US government,” wrote Fidelman.

The article references research done by harmon.ie who studied CIOs in the Forbes Fortune 250 and Global 250 lists.

“These individuals understand that when faced with expensive IT decisions, it’s important to make the right investments in technology that align with the future…to create the social enterprise,” wrote David Lavenda on the harmon.ie blog. “Our list represents the people that have tested the waters, made online connections, participated in public discussions, and generally are endeavoring to enable social media to positively impact their organization.”
