The Mountain View, California-based company nabbed a provisional authority to operate from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program’s Joint Authorization Board.

The move allows Google to contract its cloud services to federal agencies at the moderate impact level.

The FedRAMP JAB P-ATO also denotes that Google Cloud’s platform has gone through some of program’s most thorough security testing, and Google officials detailed new security features it would offer on its cloud services.
