HHS Offers $10K for Health Indicators App

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT are challenging developers to create an application that makes it easy for users to use the Healthy People 2020 Leading Health Indicators.

The winning application will leverage data to “help solve one or more of our nation’s high-priority health problems by making health indicators customizable and easy-to-use.”

First place winners will receive $10,000, second place $3,000 and third place $2,000. The competition is open until March 10, 2012.
