Yesterday afternoon I got to spend a few minutes talking with DISA CTO David Mihelcic on what he’s working on these days and it’s interesting to hear where his priorities lie, mainly because they are in line with what I hear from other government technology leaders. The buzzwords we always hear – mobility, security, cloud, efficiency – all came up in our 10 minute talk, showing me at least that these buzzwords exist for a reason. I’ll admit that with these terms floated around so often its easy to become immune to them, but there’s a reason everyone talks about them: they are important, seemingly no matter the agency, the mission or the budgetary climate.
