SAIC gets go-ahead for Cloud One

SAIC can officially kick off work leading the Air Force's Cloud One program now that a protest of the $727 million award has been taken care of. The Government Accountability Office recently denied a protest from incumbent award-holder Leidos, supporting the Air Force’s decision to dismiss the company as ineligible for the Cloud One award because of an organizational conflict of interest through one of its proposed subcontractors. Under the Cloud One contract, SAIC will support the move to the commercial cloud for the Air Force and other services. The company said in an announcement last week that it will move about 800 Air Force and Army applications into the cloud. More on the fight for the Cloud One contract.

GSA updates e-marketplace requirements

The General Services Administration made some important changes to its solicitation to select an Amazon-like e-marketplace that agencies can use to buy commercial off-the-shelf products.
