VA hit with a breach

The information of 46,000 veterans was exposed recently when unauthorized users accessed an application within the Department of Veterans Affairs' Financial Service Center (FSC) to steal payment away from community health care providers. A new DISA director

President Trump nominated a new leader to head the Defense Information Systems Agency. If confirmed by the Senate, Maj. Gen. Robert Skinner will receive a rank promotion to lieutenant general and the dual-hatted role of director of DISA and commander of Joint Forces Headquarters-Department of Defense Information Network. So far, there's no timeline on when, if confirmed, Skinner would replace current DISA head Vice. Adm. Nancy Norton. Billy Mitchell has the news.

Groen picked as next JAIC director

The Pentagon's Joint Artificial Intelligence Center is also in line to get a new director. Maj. Gen. Michael Groen was nominated to be the next leader, replacing Nand Mulchandani, who is acting in the role and is also the center’s chief technology officer. More from Jackson.

But to get there, agencies will need to be innovative in how they implement these new technologies. ITIF's Ellysse Dick has more.
