The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology launched the Healthy New Year Video Challenge, the office’s first consumer challenge of the year.

The contest looks to highlight personal stories of patients and families using health technology to improve health.

“In order to empower individuals to be more active partners in their health, they need access to their information and tools they can use,” said ONC National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Farzad Mostashari, M.D., Sc.M. “We are excited to harness the creativity of ordinary Americans to help promote the positive impact of the myriad health information technology tools and services on health and health care.”
