OPM: USAJobs 3.0 Received 141,289 Applications in First Week

U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director John Berry provided a status update on the new USAJOBS 3.0 that launched last week.

“We’re getting feedback from users about what’s working and what isn’t. User feedback was essential to designing the upgrade, and it’s been essential to identifying issues over the last eight days. We are reading everything that users are posting to the USAJOBS Facebook and Twitter accounts, answering the most common questions, and resolving individual issues as well,” said Berry.

Berry said 141,289 applications for federal job openings have been submitted as of October 18 at 4 p.m. (EST). The site has experienced performance issues since the new version launched on October 11.

OPM says it is working to increase server capacity to meet the high traffic demands.
