Turn off HGTV. Log out of Pinterest. If you want a glance at the newest, most creative home trends, stroll through 14,000 square feet of the 2013 D.C. Design House. The showcase officially begins this Sunday, but doors will open Saturday for a special preview of the Wesley Heights home that features the creative work of 24 area designers.

This is the third year partners – in business and marriage – Debbie and Skip Singleton, principals of D.C. Living Real Estate, have organized volunteers and sponsors for the 35-day long open house party to raise money for the Children’s National Medical Center.

Decor and architecture enthusiasts can explore the eight bedrooms and eight full baths inside the five-level home that sits on tony Foxhall Road, as well as the formal dining room, gourmet kitchen, library, media center and patios that overlook an infinite pool. Visitors can purchase furnishings and accessories on display in the house or even buy the entire property, which is listed at $14.9 million.

The house will be open April 14 to May 12. Tours, which cost $25 per person, are given Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends noon to 5 p.m. Tickets for this Saturday’s sneak preview are $50.
