DOE holds open data Google+ Hangout

The Department of Energy hosted a Google+ Hangout Thursday on open government data and its role in fostering entrepreneurial opportunity. The discussion was related to the agency’s broader energy data efforts, such as Green Button, and the launch of its new centralized data resource center energy.gov/data.

Participants included DOE Presidential Innovation Fellow Ian Kalin, Council on Environmental Quality Deputy Associate Director for Energy and Climate Change Monisha Shah, HonestBuildings.com CEO Riggs Kubiak and Google’s Jess Hemerly.
