Grab a blanket and some bug spray. Screen on the Green is returning to the National Mall for its 16th summer in Washington, D.C. The popular (and free!) outdoor film festival will show movies four Monday nights between July 21 and Aug. 11. This year’s lineup features three Oscar-nominated films and a 1980s classic.
July 21 – “The Karate Kid”
July 28 – “Lover Come Back”
Aug. 4 – “Key Largo”
Aug. 11- “A Soldiers Story”
The movies will be shown at dusk on a giant 20-by-40 foot screen between 7th and 12th streets along the Mall. Screen on the Green is sponsored by HBO and Comcast.
