The Pentagon Channel released a video highlighting 50 years of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

The DIA provides military intelligence to warfighters, defense policymakers and force planners within the Department of Defense and the U.S. intelligence community, in support of military planning and operations and weapon systems acquisition.

The DIA, designated in 1986 as a DOD combat support agency, was established in 1961 as a result of a decision by Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara under President John F. Kennedy.
