Friday morning’s headlines will boast that, once again, D.C.’s newswomen have raised thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. Tonight, the Newsbabes — 21 female news anchors from media affiliates in Washington — will host the fifth annual Bash for Breast Cancer fundraiser at The Hamilton

This year’s event will feature a pink cocktail bar, tunes from DJ 101’s Flouder, and a special appearance by the Newsmen in Pink — local and network journalists sporting the party’s signature color.

Always on the guest list are breast cancer survivors, advocates, politicos and D.C. media. Funds from this year’s bash will benefit Howard University Cancer Center. Tickets to the party are still available for purchase here.
