For $200, you can watch movies with star Matthew McConaughey. The “Dallas Buyers Club” actor, often seen sporting a Texas Longhorns hat, will be supporting the Washington Redskins next month.
The Oscar winner is expected in town June 4 to attend “Movies With Morris,” an event hosted by the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation in celebration of running back Alfred Morris and to raise money. Proceeds from the party will be used to buy wellness equipment for local schools and nonprofits and go toward the launch of programs for McConaughey’s JKL (Just Keep Livin’) Foundation in the Washington, D.C., area.
Morris and McConaughey will show family-friendly movies at the Alamo Draft House in Ashburn, Va., following a cocktail reception and silent auction. Morris’s teammates Robert Griffin III, Ryan Kerrigan, Chris Baker, Nick Sundberg and Darrel Young are expected to attend the event, as well.
