The White House is using Facebook’s new timeline feature to highlight more than 200 years of history with photos of everything from President Franklin Roosevelt’s first “fireside chat” to the first White House website. The site also features photos from famous visits to the White House and a collection of first pets.

“We plan to update our timeline frequently, adding more historical photos and including milestones ranging from the first cornerstone being laid through events happening in the present,” said White House Deputy Director of Outreach for the Office of Digital Strategy Kori Schulman.

You can share your thoughts on the Facebook timeline on FacebookGoogle+ or on Twitter with the hashtag #WhiteHousefb.
