The government contracting community today is mourning the loss of Carleton Jones, a longtime government IT executive known as one of industry’s true gentleman. Jones died Monday following a long battle with cancer.
Jones most recently served as President and Vice Chairman of INDUS Corporation before leaving to focus on his health. He previously served as CEO of Multimax, which sold to Harris Corporation for $400 million and as president of VanStar Government Systems and Sysorex Information Systems.
Jones was also known for his philanthropy, serving on the board for the annual Kidney Ball, which he chaired in 2010, along with giving his time and experience to countless other organizations.
A funeral service will be held Monday at noon at the National Cathedral.
