The Department of the Navy chief information officer launched the next generation of its website on Wednesday.

The new DON CIO website aims to highlight the most current and relevant content, as well as provide multiple avenues to users so they can easily find what they are looking for. The redesign also improved the accessibility of content for individuals with disabilities, the Navy said.

The DON CIO website team analyzed user feedback, website metrics and usability studies and used the results to guide the design.

The website continues to offer an “Ask an Expert” feature, which allows users to directly contact subject matter experts. And there are several ways to obtain the latest information posted to the DON CIO website:

  • Sign up for email alerts: These announcements are sent to subscribers via email and link to information on the website. To sign up, visit the DON CIO homepage.
  • Subscribe to RSS feeds: RSS feeds bring the news to you. There are a number of feeds to choose from including “All Content.” Users may customize their feeds to include a particular content type (policy, news, etc.) and a particular subject (cybersecurity, privacy, etc.).
