Modernization should not be done just for modernization’s sake. There must be a mission outcome tied to it to be successful, says World Wide Technology’s Vimesh Patel in an interview with FedScoop.
“The reality is that every modernization activity should be directly tied to an outcome – like enabling a citizen, a patient or a warfighter,” Patel said at the 2020 IT Modernization Summit. “Modernization just for the sake of modernization is really just going to be a lot of time and money wasted. For modernization to be successful, it has to drive mission partners within agencies and create these outcomes.”
